Week 4 Theme – Bubbles – 4/26

This weeks theme:

Bubbles

  • Your best THREE images due next Friday at the end of class.

Today’s goal is to make sure you have at least one good multiplicity captured and done.

Shooting – Creating – Grading – 4/24

Today’s goal if you’re shooting is create at least one (hopefully both) of your multiplicities/levitation’s today. Each MUST include at least 5 images. The blank background for levitation DOES NOT APPLY!

If you’re not shooting and HDR isn’t uploaded you might want to get that done. Grading is happening NOW.

Yes you are importing using Lightroom and using Photoshop to create. AND yes there is a shortcut. Remember the Open as Layers in Photohsop feature I shared with you yesterday.

Levitation & Shooting – 4/23

Today’s goal is to learn the levitation process. Then go and shoot a multiplicity yourself.

Multiplicity OR Levitation Begins – 4/22

Today’s goal is to learn the process of taking multiplicity images using a tripod, same settings, and the same person for every shot.

To do this will take math. Yes I said math. And logistics. You will provide the logistics and Photoshop will handle the math of Statistics in creating Multiplicity images.

Working on HDR – 4/18

Today you’ll be getting your color and making sure HDR is turned in.

Bracket Shooting Last Day – 4/17

Today’s goal is to be complete with all the shooting and editing. All instructions are online for you. Make sure you have your best in the Flickr gallery and the remainder on your Flickr account.

Shooting Bracketing – 4/12

Today’s goal is for everyone to have completed at least one day of shooting bracketing images. Next week we will wrap up HDR capturing and move to pano worlds.

Theme 2 – 4/12

Black White

 

  • Your best image due next Friday at the end of class.
  • Image must be posted to your Flickr account.
  • Image must have the same title as theme.

Bracketing Shooting & Photomerge Turn-in – 4/10-11

Today’s goal is for you to get better at shooting bracketed images. OR turning in photomerges.

  1. Make sure to place your images back in your Merge to HDR for folder.
  2. Make sure to shoot six bracketed images for each area.

Here are the required areas you will be shooting:

  • Outdoor – ISO 100
  • Classroom/Office Area
  • Shop Area (Standing with the shop/garage doors at your back looking into the shop with the sunlight behind you)
  • Cosmetology
  • Main Area (Commons)
  • Inside looking out
  • Using natural indirect light

 

Ones that can be replaced are listed below with replaced items:

  • Outdoor – Any outdoor location
  • Classroom/Office – Your bedroom/Living room
  • Indirect light – May be shot at home with someone or pet
  • Shop Area – Your garage at home. (Same standards)

HDR/Bracketing Day 2 – 4/9

Today’s goal is to finish HDR learning by getting to know NIK’s way of putting together images.

Also today you’ll see how to bracket shoot your images. From a set of 3 to a set of 6.

Photomerges? – They are due tomorrow and Thursday. Whichever day you are not shooting.

Bluebonnets? – Due Friday. Next theme coming also on Friday!

HDR/Bracketing –

Today’s goal is for you to understand the process of HDR Merging and Bracketing (one is Photoshop/Lightroom/NIK and the other is on the camera). Tomorrow we’ll continue the lesson.using PS, LR, & NIK.

We’re going to take this process slow so that you completely understand the process.

ATPI Turn-in & Theme – 4/5

Today’s goal is to Export all good images for the ATPI Rising Star Award contest. I will walk you through the process. You will simply look for your images and export.

Also today covering the first of 5 theme week projects.

SUMMATIVE GRADE INFORMATION

There will be 5 theme weeks. At the end of each week your image will be worth 20 points. At the end of the 5 weeks all points will be added for your Summative grade. NO late images will be accepted. Not posted by the due date grade will be a zero for the week.

 

Last Chance & Printing – 4/4

Today you will printing your contact prints out for grading. Also today if you need to take one or two more this is your last chance.

Tomorrow finding photos for a contest that is taking place.
