Bracket Shooting Last Day – 4/17

Today’s goal is to be complete with all the shooting and editing. All instructions are online for you. Make sure you have your best in the Flickr gallery and the remainder on your Flickr account.

CP2 – DIY Due & PShop Account Setup – 4/15

Today is the day. All DIY is due. Make sure to make your blog post. What to include:

  • Pictures of your project of course.
  • Title of what it is.
  • Describe process.

Also today getting logins and software for PShop certification.

HDR Monday & More – 4/15

Today’s goal is to have at least half of the images you need put together and begin capturing the other half of HDR images.

Today’s group we’ll discuss In-Direct Light. Also a review of the facts of shooting.

Today’s goal is for everyone to have completed at least one day of shooting bracketing images. Next week we will wrap up HDR capturing and move to pano worlds.

Theme 2 – 4/12

Black White

 

  • Your best image due next Friday at the end of class.
  • Image must be posted to your Flickr account.

Bracketing Shooting & Photomerge Turn-in – 4/10-11

Today’s goal is for you to get better at shooting bracketed images. OR turning in photomerges.

  1. Make sure to place your images back in your Merge to HDR for folder.
  2. Make sure to shoot six bracketed images for each area.

Here are the required areas you will be shooting:

  • Outdoor – ISO 100
  • Classroom/Office Area
  • Shop Area (Standing with the shop/garage doors at your back looking into the shop with the sunlight behind you)
  • Cosmetology
  • Main Area (Commons)
  • Inside looking out
  • Using natural indirect light

 

Ones that can be replaced are listed below with replaced items:

  • Outdoor – Any outdoor location
  • Classroom/Office – Your bedroom/Living room
  • Indirect light – May be shot at home with someone or pet
  • Shop Area – Your garage at home. (Same standards)

HDR/Bracketing Day 2 – 4/9

Today’s goal is to finish HDR learning by getting to know NIK’s way of putting together images.

Also today you’ll see how to bracket shoot your images. From a set of 3 to a set of 6.

Photomerges? – They are due tomorrow and Thursday. Whichever day you are not shooting.

Bluebonnets? – Due Friday. Next theme coming also on Friday!

Today you will going through ALL of your images and placing them into ATPI contest folders.

CP2 – Your weekly assignments will be due Wednesday.

Pract – PS Certification, Pirelli, & Senior Photo are due coming up.

HDR/Bracketing –

Today’s goal is for you to understand the process of HDR Merging and Bracketing (one is Photoshop/Lightroom/NIK and the other is on the camera). Tomorrow we’ll continue the lesson.using PS, LR, & NIK.

We’re going to take this process slow so that you completely understand the process.

ATPI Turn-in & Theme – 4/5

Today’s goal is to Export all good images for the ATPI Rising Star Award contest. I will walk you through the process. You will simply look for your images and export.

Also today covering the first of 5 theme week projects.

SUMMATIVE GRADE INFORMATION

There will be 5 theme weeks. At the end of each week your image will be worth 20 points. At the end of the 5 weeks all points will be added for your Summative grade. NO late images will be accepted. Not posted by the due date grade will be a zero for the week.

 

Last Chance & Printing – 4/4

Today you will printing your contact prints out for grading. Also today if you need to take one or two more this is your last chance.

Tomorrow finding photos for a contest that is taking place.

Photomerging Day 2 – 4/2-3

Today’s goal is to complete your photos for your panoramic images. If you are not shooting you should be putting your images together. I’ll go over instructions with you before you begin.

Shooting? To begin the process of taking Photomerge images. Here are the particulars:

  • Minimum 7 images for each photomerge creation
  • One outside panoramic
  • One panoramic of a Classroom
  • One panoramic from the Commons area
  • One panoramic from a perspective (low or high angle)
  • One panoramic of your choice

Remember all can be substituted.

NIK Software – 4/1

Today you’re finally going to learn what that white box in Photoshop is all about. The goal is to have a complete understanding of how NIK Collection software works.

Tomorrow you’ll continue shooting your photomerges here at KCC.

Shooting? To begin the process of taking Photomerge images. Here are the particulars:

  • Minimum 7 images for each photomerge creation

  • One panoramic from the Commons area
  • One panoramic from a perspective (low or high angle)
  • One panoramic of your choice

(SPECIAL NOTE::: Any one of these can be substituted by photomerges outside of school time. At home, out of town, at the lake, etc.)

Photomerge Lesson Day 2 – 3/27

Today we’ll finish information regarding photomerging/panoramic image creation. We’ll go through shooting and placing together both with PS and LR.

Photomerging Part 1 – 3/26

Today you’ll learn the process of making Photomerges using Adobe Photoshop and if time prevails Lightroom. Not difficult at all, you just have to know the settings.

Taking the photos is not difficult either, however you have to watch what’s taking place inside the view finder.

Today’s goal is to complete your 10 senior edits. Remember you can go through and do multiple edits to one image, so you might have 20 -25 images you upload.
